HELP make Halloween less scary for foxes dying alone on fur farms!
We’d love to see our petition (asking INTERMIX to stop selling the skins of murdered animals) hit 2,000 names today! Feel free to leave a comment on their Facebook page as well. Be part of the change. Let’s win this.

It’s been awhile since I’ve done a book update — and believe me I’ve been reading. I recently finished The Hobbit by JRR Tolkien and enjoyed it, surprisingly so.
Next up is Field Notes on the Compassionate Life by Marc Ian Barasch. I picked it out as a Christmas present from my sister, Sarah. She took me to a local used book store that helps fund reading programs for prisoners. I saw this and read the first line of the preface and couldn’t resist.
What did the first line say?“Every now and then, I’ll meet an escapee; someone who has broken free of self-centeredness and lit out for the territory of compassion.”
As always, you can ask me questions or recommend me books and find me on Goodreads.
